We loved it all, particularly Queenstown, with so much to do and its stunning natural beauty. The accommodation and activity choices were fabulous, and we really appreciate the thought and effort that Russell put into matching the trip to our family.

First, the reason we chose NZ Self Drive Tours is because of their communication. As we all know, kindness and common sense are not so common. What we look for when working with any vendor is their attention to detail.
My brother and I took my 81 year old father who has trouble walking on this trip for 10 days. Sarah Pollard and the team made sure there were three beds at each hotel, and booked excursions that were convenient for my father. From start to finish, Sarah made sure we had all of our travel details and were prepared for the journey. Communication was great the whole time. We even took the advice of the app and did some sight seeing and excursions that we had not planned for. We loved convenience of the app and it made our day to day plans easy to follow. Most of the rooms came with an incredible view too! We all loved working with Sarah and the team as they made our trip seamless. We all highly recommend NZ Self Drive Tours and the Fine Tours app. My dad can't stop talking about how easy this trip was for him and how great the accomodations were. We will be back!

Everything was wonderful, but the Doubtful Sound overnight cruise and the Siberia Experience really stood out. The itinerary was just the right mix of adventure and relaxation. Amazing trip, thank you.

We enjoyed the opportunity to take part in some activities (such as a floatplane trip in Rotorua and a wildlife encounter in Dunedin) that we might not have considered without the guidance of Fine Tours.
Christina was particularly helpful in planning our trip, offering ideas about activities and alternatives to some of the originally suggested itinerary to fit in with our plans. She was always positive and responsive when dealing with our requests to change certain activities or accommodation options, which was much appreciated. The Fine Tours app was also really good!

Our favourite night was at Mt Cook, the room was perfection looking right out at the mountain range. The dinner that was booked for us there was amazing and unlike anything we’ve done.
The entire trip was planned out perfectly for us, who had zero ideas of what we wanted to do going into planning this trip. We mentioned we would like to go to Milford Sound, but we had no time to drive there. It was suggested and planned that we fly there, which I didn’t even know was possible. That turned out perfect. Even when I kept changing our dates around, nothing was too hard. Can’t thank Alfred and the team enough for planning the honeymoon we dreamed of.

Experiences: highlights for us were the Eco Zipling, Zealandia night tour, Monarch Dunedin, and Glacier E bike
We really appreciated how the accomodation mix up was handled and the upgrade provided was a really nice touch.I also would like to thank Shelby for all her support during getting the tour booked and during the tour. We also found the app extremely beneficial for planning things to do on our self drive days and when we asked for further activity suggestions the team couldn’t have been nicer giving these to us.

It's hard to pick just one. I really enjoyed the Milford sounds tour. It was a very small group with a great tour guide along with a wonderful boat ride. Was very nice to be with a smaller group of people.
Owen, thank you for putting together my dream trip. I was hesitant as a solo traveler and you could not have made it any more easier and wonderful. Thought this would be a once in a lifetime trip, but it may have to be multiple trips back! Thank you so so much.

We had so many fantastic experiences! I was very fortunate to see Orcas, sperm whale, and Hector’s dolphins on my whaling trip in Kaikoura. Also, visiting the National Kiwi Hatchery and seeing these intriguing animals up close.

Very hard to choose a favourite time on our trip as it was totally fabulous, loved everything, the helicopter ride and landing on snow was something l am pretty sure that we won't experience again , it was spectacular
Could not fault our experience. All the accommodation was superb maybe would of had another night in Queenstown. We were very lucky to have the same driver for pick up and drop off at airport and station, he was so professional and friendly.

We loved Queenstown, stayed at the Novotel Lakeside which was perfect and in the heart of restaurants, bars, cafe's and shops a great buzz. So much to do here, Milford Sound was lovely even though it rained and had fun with the gondola and luge ride. Also a great bike ride to winery and tasting at Kinross Cellar door.
Our helicopter ride and landing in the snow at Franz Josef Glazier was a highlight on a perfect day. Lake Wanaka is beautiful, lovely restaurants and good vibe.
Our train trips were also great and a good combination with some driving. Auckland is beautiful and need to return as only had 2 nights there.
We enjoyed so many wonderful meals including a Smorgasbord at Mt Cook, and our accommodation was always in prime areas and beautiful.
We want to thank Emily-Rose for putting our fantastic itinerary together and being so very efficient in her communications with us, taking all the stress out of preparing for our trip. Everything ran smoothly with our planned itinerary and it was lovely to have a car waiting for us at each stop.
