Get off road on this New Zealand farm tour with Agrodome on their 350 acre working farm in their new 686cc Yamaha Viking farm vehicle. It’s powerful so you have to hold on! You will get to see how farmers get around on steep hills as well as splashing through swamps, driving through orchards, cattle and sheep pastures and checking out a working wool shed … See where your woollen jerseys come from. Don’t worry you’re in good hands with Agrodome’s real kiwi farmers!
You’ll find the Agrodome, home to the iconic Farm Show, located just off State Highway 5 – 25 minutes North of Rotorua. Head towards the town of Ngongotaha and they are located on 141 Western Road.
Your children want to know where their meat comes from or that glass of milk they drink in the mornings? Maybe they have never been on a working farm. Maybe you and your partner want to check out - a big part of New Zealand culture - ‘farm life’ and experience some four-wheel driving! This tour is a fun way to see what happens ‘down on the farm’.
Godfrey Bowen a 1970 world champion sheep shearer produced a show to represent New Zealand in the World Expo in Japan. The Sheep show was such a success that Godfrey and his fellow farmer George Harford made a permanent home for it at Agrodome in 1971.
The Agrodome farm has also won several awards as New Zealand’s Best Visitor Attraction.
