Our 22 day New Zealand Encounter was perfect. We really enjoyed our time in each location and the drive between those locations. The scenery in both the north and south islands is breathtaking. The itinerary was very well paced allowed for ample time to explore the areas visited. The optional Kruse enhanced GPS navigation unit made a great addition to the printed itinerary and maps that NZ Self Drive Tours provided. The commentary was informative and educational. Having a navigation unit also reduced stress levels when driving in the larger metropolitan areas. Accommodations were great, always clean, well provisioned, centrally located and the staff at each accommodation were all very helpful. The voucher system worked flawlessly as did the collection and returning of the rental cars for both islands.
